Commercial rentals: tax periods and exceptions

Florida removed state sales tax and discretionary surtax on rentals covered by FS 212.031 for periods beginning October 1, 2025. This does not remove every rental tax: exceptions remain for transient accommodation and certain vehicle, boat and aircraft spaces. Confirm the classification and rental period with your tax adviser.
